RUN BHOPAL RUN is back again with its exhilarating event “RBR-2017”.... Bhopal Runners organizes varied activities throughout the calendar year with the flag ship event called Run Bhopal Run (RBR). The primary aim is to promote health as a way of life with running as its preferred activity to spread the message of fitness through the simple act of running. It is a matter of great joy and pride for the city of Bhopal that from past 2 years we are organizing marathons to promote healthy lifestyle witnessing the participation and involvement of huge crowd of runners. This year we are expecting more participants and spectators from central India and other parts of the world as Bhopal Runners has entered in the big league of reputed India Marathon calendar.
This year we are organizing the exhilarating half marathon on December 3, 2017 with the theme “RUN FOR HOPE “in Bhopal which includes 21k half marathon, 11k and 5k.

Nishant Warwade is a member of Indian Administrative Service. An avid sportsperson, running happened to him as an accident whilst attempting to quit heavy cigarette smoking, a habit he had for 17 years. It was running which kept motivating him after umpteen numbers of failures to quit tobacco for good. Since then, he had participated in ADHM, SCMM and TCS 10k events and has made a life mission to promote running as a way of life and to use running as a tool for de-addiction.
Running for him is active meditation and says that some of his best ideas occurred to him while running. For him, the best race one can ever have is when one competes with own self and thus evolving in the process. For him, Life is a celebration and running is a developmental tool.
Nishant Warwade is passionate about social causes as much as he is for sports. He has been pioneer in field of early identification and intervention services in the country which aims at prevention of disability.
Twice awarded with Government of Madhya Pradesh's Chief Ministers Award in public administration, Nishant Warwade is also into football, tennis, cricket and sailing. He is married to Dr Amita Chand and presently lives in Bhopal, MP where he is posted as District Magistrate & Collector, Bhopal.
